MEG (aka Mindful Megsy)
Hello, I'm Meg.
I'm the founder of Next Step Mindfully, and my greatest passion is creating gentle spaces where people can pause, breathe, and remember that they don't have to carry everything alone.
There was a time when life felt overwhelming. During my own mental health journey, I discovered that healing rarely arrived all at once. Instead, it came through small, mindful moments. Such as pulling on my wellies and walking through the woods, sitting quietly beneath the trees, filling pages of a journal, learning to breathe again, and slowly finding my way back to myself.
Those simple practices changed my life.
Today, I have the privilege of sharing them with others.
Whether we're sitting together in Ty Tawel, walking through nature, gathering in a women's circle, exploring journal therapy, or working together in a workplace, my hope is always the same: that you leave feeling lighter than when you arrived.
I believe wellbeing isn't about becoming someone new. It's about gently returning to the person you have always been beneath the stress, the expectations, and the noise of everyday life.
You don't need to have everything figured out. You simply need somewhere safe to begin.
If I can walk alongside you for even a small part of your journey, it would be a privilege.
"Next Step Mindfully exists to remind you that healing doesn't have to happen all at once. One gentle, mindful step is enough."
With love,

Why I do what I do..
The Story Behind My Logo
Every part of the Next Step Mindfully logo tells a story.
It isn't something that was designed simply because it looked beautiful. It reflects the journey that brought me here, and the gentle way I hope to walk alongside others.
The Wellie Boot
There was a time when life felt incredibly heavy, and my mental health was at its lowest. What helped me more than anything wasn't finding all the answers. It was putting on my wellies, stepping outside, and walking. Through fields. Along woodland paths. Beside streams. One foot in front of the other. Those walks reminded me to breathe, to slow down, and that even the smallest step was still a step forward. The wellie boot has become a symbol of hope for me. You don't need expensive equipment or a perfect plan. Sometimes healing begins with simply putting your boots on and taking the next gentle step.
The Wildflowers
I've always been drawn to wildflowers. They aren't planted in neat rows or carefully arranged. They simply grow where they can, bringing unexpected beauty to places that might otherwise be overlooked. They remind me that growth isn't always loud or dramatic. Beauty can emerge after difficult seasons. Strength can grow quietly. Hope has a wonderful way of finding us when we least expect it. I believe people are much the same. Even after life's storms, we can bloom again.
The Snail
The little snail may be the smallest part of my logo, but it carries one of the biggest reminders. In a world that encourages us to rush, a snail never apologises for moving slowly. It simply keeps going. Mindfulness invites us to do the same—to pause, to notice, to breathe, and to be fully present in the moment we're living, rather than worrying about yesterday or racing towards tomorrow. The snail reminds me that life isn't a race. Progress doesn't have to be fast to be meaningful. Sometimes the most important thing we can do is slow down enough to truly notice the beauty that has been there all along.
Together, the wellie boot, the wildflowers and the snail represent the heart of Next Step Mindfully.
A gentle reminder that healing doesn't have to happen all at once. That beautiful things can grow after difficult times. And that your next step—however small it feels—is enough.
